This fast fishing boat was designed by Brett Bakewell-White of Auckland, New Zealand and built by Q-West Boats in Wanganui, New Zealand. It was commissioned for Trinity Yachts, SA for a Dubai Client who will use the boat as a high speed fishing tender. This 2 step hull is constructed from aluminium and has a composite console.

Agenor 18
Agenor is an 18-meter high-performance SOC that displaces 22.5 tonnes at full load and can carry more than 4.5 tonnes of payload. It is powered by two 1,200 hp MAN V8’s and Q-SPD QSD236 surface drives that enable cruising at 38knot and a sprint speed of 52.5 knots. It can reach this top speed in 35 seconds and it can operate out to a maximum range of up to 350nm in Sea State 4.

Fast Power Catamaran
Operates in Bay Of Islands, New Zealand. This foil-assisted Cougar Catamaran has been adapted for high speed by fitting lifting foils to provide stable and smooth running.

Riviera M430
This Riviera M430 was converted from twin 496 gas engines on stern drives to Cummins 550hp diesels with QSD125. The owner wanted the reliable diesel power and needed a a solution that would not give him the grief his previous stern drive experience. So he chose Q-SPD and has never looked back, nor needed to do any maintenance since.

CMN-DV15 Fast Interceptor
Q-SPD Surface Drives power 3 xCMN-DV15 Interceptor patrol vessels built in Abu Dhabi. The DV15 Interceptor is high performance craft manufactured from advanced composite materials. Powered by twin Caterpillar C12 705-HP engines for a top speed of 52-56 knots (depending on version and payload).

Royal Denship RD 82
Royal Denship and designer, Bill Dixon, chose Q-SPD surface drives for their compact and lightweight installation compared to other surface drive solutions. Q-SPDs custom design means waterline length is not compromised and excessively long boarding platforms are not needed.

20m Power Cat
“It is hard to believe that by adding 2.85 meters of length, 14 tonnes of weight and changing the propulsion units from jet units to Q-SPD surface drives, that you can gain 10 knots of speed, improve the trim, handling and fuel efficiency. But the Rakiura Explorer is working proof that it can be done.”

Ramco 35
Ramco Boats and designer, Brian Tournier, chose the Q-SPD surface drive for this quintesential 35’ aluminium Kiwi family weekend pleasure boat, designed with the average recreational fisherman in mind, she boasts some features you would expect on a much larger vessel and performance to burn.
