Dubai 48 Fishing Boat

DUBAI

Leisure & Fishing

This fast fishing boat was designed by Brett Bakewell-White of Auckland, New Zealand and built by Q-West Boats in Wanganui, New Zealand. It was commissioned for Trinity Yachts, SA for a Dubai Client who will use the boat as a high speed fishing tender. This 2 step hull is constructed from aluminium and has a composite console.

Q-SPD drives were chosen for performance, reliability, low maintenance and ease of use. The results speak for themselves. This boats hops on the plane and within 14 seconds accelerates to full speed effortlessly. Low cruise planning is maintaining at 23knots at full load and speed loss from light to heavy loads is only 3 knots. Steering and tracking is predictable and safe in all conditions and manoeuvrability at low speed is easy. The “experts” said that trimmable and longer drives are essential for a stepped hull of this type. This proved the experts wrong. What is so appealing about this system is the easy of use. There is no need for the operator to concentrate on trim to make the drives work properly. Q-SPD drives and the engines are never able to be overloaded and with lack of exposed parts, maintenance is virtually zero.
